Employment Adv - Help Wanted: Light of the World

"No application necessary. Simply accept the Atonement for yourself using the Holy Spirit to remove all blocks to the awareness of the love that you are, and then immediately you will extend love and light to everyone, without exception, without judging and without holding any of it back. Bring the dead back to life, heal and help without necessarily saying a word. Pay and benefits include ever increasing joy without limit."

Note: This is also a teaching position. One teaches, above all else, by example. As a MIRACLE WORKER, being the Light of the world, you will be preparing others to also fill future positions which are always available.

(This is an adaptation of a facebook post by an wonderful friend and ACIM student Benny Silverman. Benny transitioned many years ago and left his thoughts via his posts, for us. What a joyful loving post. Deep gratitude to Benny)

When I re-posted Benny’s words recently to my Facebook page, it bought so much joy to my mind and all who read it. I felt guided by Jesus to use it as an opener to this article, so that the sense of joy and peace is associated with being a Miracle Worker!

To be the Light of the world, we have to PLUG IN to the Source that illuminates the Light that we will effortlessly and joyfully shine. The Holy Spirit showed me, in a great analogy, how this happens. Our mind is like typical electric lamp that we use on a desk. This lamp's purpose is to illuminate the surroundings of a desk. The lamp will sit there on our desk and no matter how many times we switch it on at the switch near the globe, it will not shine or illuminate unless it is plugged in to the Source. The lamp MUST be connected to the electricity source BEFORE it can actually shine light. The electricity source is God. The lamp is our mind. When we plug in to the Source of Love and Light, the lamp will shine on everything around it. The lamp does not choose where it shines light. It just shines because it is PLUGGED IN to the Source. This is what it is like to be a miracle worker. We plug in and stay plugged in to the Source of Love and then let the Love shine through us, naturally. The love naturally shines from us without any effort because we are plugged in and it comes through without effort or trying. The lamp doesn’t try to be the light but it can’t illuminate anything around it unless it is plugged into the Source of Power.

The power of God within us does all things but we are asked by Jesus to ask him and be guided by him where and who to extend God’s Love (The Miracle). Because we can’t be in all places at all times, He has many Miracle Workers and is directing them as He knows the plan of Atonement. Our job is to let the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit help us let go of all obstacles or fear we feel about connecting to the source (plugging in), then we can take up the position available as the Light of the World. The Light of the World will be directed exactly what to say, to whom and what to do, to help anyone anywhere.

Here is how Jesus explains what a Miracle Worker is, which is a Teacher of God, in his own words from the Manual for Teachers.

M,5,3 To them God’s teachers come, to represent another choice which they had forgotten. The simple presence of a teacher of God is a reminder. His thoughts ask for the right to question what the patient has accepted as true. As God’s messengers, His teachers are the symbols of salvation. They ask the patient for forgiveness for God’s Son in His Own Name. They stand for the Alternative. With God’s Word in their minds they come in benediction, not to heal the sick but to remind them of the remedy God has already given them. It is not their hands that heal. It is not their voice that speaks the Word of God. They merely give what has been given them. Very gently, they call to their brothers to turn away from death. “Behold, you Son of God, what life can offer you. Would you choose sickness in place of this?.”

Jesus says we do not have to be in our right mind all the time to be a miracle worker but if we can shift into our right mind when He calls upon us, He will direct us in offering the miracle. The miracle has the message underlying everything we say or do, that our BROTHER IS SINLESS. It can be conveyed with or without words. It is a demonstration to our brother that we are seeing Him with our Holy Vision. We demonstrate to our brother that anything he says or does cannot take away God’s Love and light coming through us that we are plugged into. I have found laughter and lightness is used by the Holy Spirit through me, mixed in with the deep certainty of His message, to be the way he brings this through. My “lightness” being my happy laughter, helps heal and lighten up the seriousness of the false mind.

As a miracle worker, we show ALL our brothers that “He is as God created him” by offering God’s pure love, no matter how our brother is acting or what he is saying. Our consistent offering of Love, rather than belief in attack, is the miracle that shows our brother, that we perceive him “without sin”. The joy that flows out of us, reminds our brother, that “This need not be” and “Brother, choose again”.

We are called to overlook, or look past our brothers body’s sickness and any words speaking of depression, anger or fear, to instead, identify with the Christ Self that is Him. We honor and bless him and extend our holiness to him. This is the miracle being offered and it lifts our brothers mind above his belief in guilt and sin and the Son’s Mind joins in true communion as One.

A miracle worker is one who restores the mind of another. This other mind is called the miracle receiver. The right minded thoughts are given by the miracle worker and received by the miracle receiver. The right minded thoughts restore the miracle receiver to his Right Mind. The miracle worker must be in his right mind or he will be unable to re-establish right-mindedness in someone else.

The miracle worker sees his brother as sinless. He sees only his brother’s perfect purity and conveys this message in a particular way, so that the miracle receiver can best understand and accept his sinlessness. A miracle worker must also understand his brothers fear of release, so he may need to step back a while until he feels Jesus’s guidance as to share again with him.

Recently, I gave an interview to Rick Archer on his program Buddha at the Gas Pump (BATGAP) My mind was aligned with right minded thoughts and I had put Jesus in charge of what to say and to whom. This is an example of being miracle-minded or a miracle worker. All I needed to do, was to step back and let Him lead the way. I received feedback over the next few days, from people watching the video, conveying to me that they had received miracles through listening to the words coming through me. My role, as a miracle worker, was to follow his guidance to say Yes to the invitation for an interview and fully trust that He would be in charge. This is a great example of being a miracle worker.

Another example of being a miracle worker, is through my interactions with my Dad and my husband. These are the two people that I interact with every day. For the past two years I have been my Dad’s carer and it has been a wonderful honor to bless him with my holiness. My mind has accepted the Atonement and Jesus now uses it to show my Dad and my husband that nothing they say or do, can effect the constant stream of unconditional love that flows to them through the Holy Spirit using this body for his purpose. The miracle, also effects my sibling brothers and sisters, because they see how consistently loving I am to our Dad, no matter what “seems to happen”. This demonstration of peace that my mind teaches, maintains the receiving of peace and offers it.

My mind never judges my Dad or gets annoyed as it once did in the past and my siblings hear the message when I update them on Dad’s status. My Dad is currently in hospital with stage 4 cancer and I am following guidance on what to say and do. God’s voice speaks to me all throughout the day and I am plugged in to that voice and the Love power. I have seen changes in my siblings responses to my Dad as their minds get a correction, through the miracle being demonstrated.

Another part of being a miracle worker is to never be concerned with outcomes. Outcomes never enter my mind and I am free of looking for any responses or changes in anyone I shine light on. My mind lives in peace and harmony so it naturally goes out and blesses and brings everyone into its rest and peace. Its constant message is that "Yyou are perfect, whole and complete. You are sinless, innocent and guiltless". My mind sees only the Christ Self and has been healed of the belief in separation. This quiet mind never demands anything from any brother. It overlooks the ego without seeing the ego. Its like the ego is null and void and never noticed at all.

Accepting the Atonement means that I have accepted the truth of who I am and where I am. My mind knows that it is part of a Sonship that never left it’s Father. It knows that it has its being in One Love that only blesses in gratitude and love. It is easy to offer the miracle to all brothers when our mind has been healed back to its resting place in God’s Love. I remain plugged into the Source of All Light and so there is no effort in being a miracle worker.

To summarise:

T-2.V.5. The sole responsibility of the miracle worker is to accept the Atonement for himself.

When we accept the Atonement for ourselves as our sole responsibility, we are naturally extending the miracle to our brothers. The miracle is extended through the result of accepting the correction from Jesus or the Holy Spirit. When we accept the correction to our erroneous thoughts, we move into the Holy Instant of receiving God’s Thoughts to replace the ego fear thoughts. With God’s loving thoughts in our mind, we extend the miracle of God’s Love to all minds.

Miracle Principle No 27. A miracle is a universal blessing from God through me to all my brothers. It is a privilege of the forgiven to forgive. (the blessed to bless)

Many blessings of love dear friends
